DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Chambersburg is planning the 2nd annual display of American flags in honor of Veterans Day.\n\n"Rotary Club of Chambersburg believes in the importance of honoring those who have made a\n\ndifference in our freedom\, our nation\, our community and our hearts"\; said Heather Kohler\, Rotary\n\nevent chair. "The goal of our Flags for Heroes is to create a fundraiser that engages our entire\n\ncommunity and reminds us of the true meaning of Veterans Day a time to remember\, celebrate and\n\nrecognize the heroes who have served and sacrificed for our freedom"\n\nAn estimated 400 flags will be on display at Sellers Funeral Home and Cremation Services on\n\nPhiladelphia Avenue in Chambersburg Nov. 8-16. Community members may honor their heroes by sponsoring a flag. Each flag will bear the name of the hero.\n\nIndividual flag sponsors are $50 per hero per flag. Corporate sponsorships range from $250-$2\,500 in\n\nsupport of Rotary's many community and youth projects.\n\nFor information or to sponsor the Flags for Heroes\, contact a local Rotarian or visit\n\nChambersburgrotary.org.\n\nThe public is also invited to support the event by visiting the field of flags in Chambersburg. "For\n\nthose who find it difficult to travel to Arlington National Cemetery or other national monuments\n\ncommemorating our veterans\, this is a great way to pay respects right here at home"\; Kohler said.
