Hoffman Foundation Charitable Endowment Trust\nDescription: Hoarding disorder is an increasing problem and is especially visible in the older adult population. It can produce several significant health risks and lead to increased interpersonal problems and isolation for older adults. This training will review the diagnostic criteria for hoarding disorder\, as well as other common behaviors and cognitions observed in the disorder. Prevalence and special considerations in the older adult population will be discussed. The training will also review assessments commonly used to identify and treat hoarding disorder. Specific treatment interventions that have shown to be effective with the general population and the older adult population specifically will be discussed in detail and practical application. \n\nObjectives:\n\n\n Participants will learn how hoarding is defined\, diagnosed and common features in the disorder.\n Participants will learn how hoarding disorder presents in older adults\, and its prevalence.\n Participants will learn what types of interventions work best for treating hoarding disorder\, across older adult populations and other populations.\n\n\n2.0 hrs.
