Please join the Cumberland Valley Business Alliance (CVBA) for the regional Business Breakfast: Annual Meeting. Hosted in partnership with the Chambersburg and Greencastle-Antrim chambers of commerce, the event will feature highlights of CVBA’s 2023 accomplishments and recognition of the Business Person of the Year. Guests will also enjoy a special keynote presentation by Angie Wilt, Adult Education Program Coordinator for LIU12 Franklin County Literacy Council.
Angie Wilt's topic will focus on literacy's impact on communities. The lack of basic literacy skills places communities at higher risk for poor health, domestic abuse, crime and poverty. Low literacy effects the lives and livelihoods of 1 in 5 residents in Franklin County. Learn how increasing literacy skills in our local area could improve workforce and education opportunities as well as discover what others can do to help alleviate the impact of this pervasive problem.
