SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains administrative staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintains a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Supervisory responsibilities include the full range of personnel management and staff leadership responsibilities, to include forecasting and budgeting for staffing needs; interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of medical office procedures. Knowledge of billing/coding and insurance company operating procedures. Ability to solve problems and correct errors. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients, organizations, and the public. Applicant must be versatile in all aspects of the office. Exceptional organizational and communications (verbal and written) skills is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED equivalency, with the following additional experience required: previous medical office supervisory experience; experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Graduate from accredited Medical Secretarial or Medical Receptionist School or comparable work experience.
