Lunch & Learn: Deprescribing: A Pharmacist's Perspective on Using Less

Lunch and Learn at Heritage Retirement Community on Deprescribing Medications 

Heritage Retirement Community has announced their second bimonthly Lunch and Learn for 2025. Each Lunch and Learn is free to the public and will be held at Heritage, located at 2256 Shanks Church Road, in Greencastle, PA, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on May 7, 2025. 

Dr. Jason Davis, the speaker for the event, is a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP). The BCGP certification validates that a pharmacist has advanced knowledge and experience in providing pharmaceutical care to the elderly, including wellness, treatment, monitoring, and patient safety services. Dr. Davis is a Pharmacist with Care Options Rx. 

Dr. Davis's presentation, entitled: “Deprescribing: A Pharmacist’s Perspective on Using Less”, will explain the systematic process of reducing or stopping medications that are no longer needed or causing harm, aiming to improve patient outcomes and quality of life while reducing medication burden. 

While anyone is welcome to attend, this topic may be of particular interest to older adults and individuals with multiple health conditions.
