Black History Month Speakers at the Franklin County Historical Society
Author, pastor, teacher, and historian C. Bernard Ruffin will present “Race Relations During the 20th Century in Franklin County” on Saturday, February 10 from 1-3pm. Ruffin currently resides in Reston, Virginia, but has strong family ties to Chambersburg. He is the author of several books, and co-authored “Some Chambersburg Roots: A Black Perspective”. He has compiled an oral history of the African American community of Chambersburg and nearby towns. This event will take place at the Old Jail, 175 East King Street, Chambersburg.
