CVAS Dog Walk and Contests

Description

CHAMBERSBURG – The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold their 26^th annual Dog Walk and Contests from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.3, at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds.
 
The event will be held rain or shine and registration begins at 10 a.m., with the walk starting at 11.
 
Participants are asked to raise money by getting sponsors for the dog walk.
 
All walkers will receive a participation bag. Anyone who raises $25 will get a t-shirt. People who raise $75 or more will get a walk down the prize tables.    
 
Sponsor sheets may be picked up at the shelter or downloaded at cvas-pets.org. All monies collected will be due on the day of the walk.
 
The canine contests will begin after the dog walk. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: best trick, best costume, best kisser, best tail-wagger and most obedient. A panel of shelter judges will choose a winner from each category.
 
Vendors and food trucks are also included.
