Description
Sponsored by the Chambersburg Area School District Foundation and hosted by the Coyle Free Library, Dr. Peggy Jennings of Jennings College Consulting will provide a presentation geared toward students in grades 9 through 12 and their supporters who may wish to explore college as an option post-graduation.
Participants will:
* learn about the overall higher education landscape in the United States
* become familiar with the kind of curriculum preparation different categories of colleges expect and require of applicants
* examine various myths and misunderstandings about the college admissions process and learn about how these myths can undermine students’ efforts to prepare for college admissions

* learn about ways families can make sound decisions about the cost of college and accessing financial aid to assist with the cost of college and learn about the most recent information and
* consider the implications of recent changes in Standardized Testing (SAT, ACT, PSAT) and FAFSA (including current simplification and 2023-deadlines)

Relevant handouts will be provided. Question and Answer time will be held at the conclusion of the presentation.
