Description
Don Arrowood will present a PowerPoint presentation on several of well-known caverns in Franklin County. The main cavern covered will be Baker Caverns, now known as Black-Coffey Caverns in Williamson, PA. Have you visited Black-Coffey Caverns? One enters the caverns through the basement of a private home. Another cavern that will be covered is the Shockey Cave on the mountain between Buena Vista and Fort Ritchie. And did you know there’s a cave in Greencastle on property that was once owned by Dr. Charles B. Carl, of Carl’s Drug Store.
There is no fee to attend, but donations are greatly accepted toward Allison-Antrim Museum's annual speaker series. For more information, visit the website at www.greencastlemuseum.org, or follow us on Facebook at Greencastlemuseum.
