Description
NASA space scientist, Todd Toth, and The Institute’s staff will guide a safe viewing experience of a solar eclipse. On April 8, 2024, the shadow of the moon will sweep across the entire United States from the Texas-Mexico border through the midwest to upstate New York and New England over the course of several hours, bringing totality to many major population centers. In our area, we will see a near-total eclipse of the sun. With equipment to measure temperature, clouds, barometric pressure, relative humidity and more, data will also be collected and uploaded to the GLOBE App by attendees, if they wish. Free safety eclipse sunglasses available, while supplies last. Hands-on activities. For more information, call 717-762-0373 or email info@natureandcultureinstitute.org.
