Interested in helping to conserve our soils and improve our water quality in Franklin County? The Franklin County Conservation District is hiring a full-time Ag Conservation Technician.
The Ag Conservation Technician will provide direct technical assistance and services to owners and operators of Franklin County farmers to help solve natural resource concerns in areas of soil conservation and manure and nutrient management. Qualified applicants should have a strong agricultural background with a good working knowledge of crops, soils, nutrients, animal husbandry, hydrology, land use and geography.
*Required: Bachelor Degree in Autonomy, Agriculture, Natural Sciences, Environmental Science or related subject
Preferred: Act 38 Certification
*An equivalent of education, training and experience combination may qualify at the discretion of the FCCD.
Applicant must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and have excellent organizational skills.
