About MyCoffin & Setas Eternal Living
Setas Eternal Living is leading the way in sustainable burial solutions with MyCoffin, a fully biodegradable, mushroom-based coffin designed to return the body to the earth naturally. Our production process takes place at our farm in Greencastle, PA, where we grow and shape MyCoffin using cutting-edge mycology-based biofabrication techniques.
We’re looking for a dedicated, hands-on team member to join our on-site production team and play a critical role in every step of MyCoffin’s lifecycle—from substrate preparation to final baking and cleanup.
Key Responsibilities
As a MyCoffin Growth Specialist, you will be physically involved in all aspects of MyCoffin production, including:
- Substrate Preparation & Lab Work
- Produce and sterilize mushroom growth substrate.
- Transfer sterilized substrate into 10 lb grow bags inside the lab.
- Regularly shake and monitor grow bags during incubation.
- Coffin Formation & Growth
- Move fully colonized substrate from incubation to fruiting chambers.
- Remove mature substrate from grow bags and pack it firmly into coffin molds.
- Finishing & Quality Control
- Carefully extract MyCoffin from molds and place it in baking frames.
- Bake MyCoffin to achieve the final durable, lightweight structure.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
- Sanitation & Organization
- Maintain cleanliness across all production areas, including lab, incubation rooms, fruiting chambers, and baking stations.
- Ensure all equipment and workspaces are properly sanitized to maintain optimal growing conditions.
Who We’re Looking For
- Physically active & comfortable with hands-on, farm-style work.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow precise sanitation and safety protocols.
- Comfortable working with mushroom cultivation, lab environments, and bio-based materials.
- Passionate about sustainability, eco-conscious solutions, and innovative materials.
- Previous experience with mushroom farming, fermentation, or biofabrication is a plus but not required—we’re willing to train the right person!
