Newcomer Associates is a full service architectural and engineering firm located in Chambersburg Pennsylvania.  We design a wide variety of commercial project types and sizes for clients along the east cost.  We utilize an integrated architectural and engineering approach with in-house structural, mechanical and electrical for design on all of our projects large and small.  We are licensed in 18 states.  We have an immediate opening for a full-time Construction Administrator.

Responsibilities
• Serve as a Construction Administrator on multiple projects and work with in-house Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers to successfully complete projects.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of various construction types.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Meet, communicate, and coordinate project requirements with owners, contractors, and in-house staff.
• Prepare in-house specifications in AIA Masterspec format.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct site visits, and prepare associated reports.
• Ability to review shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications.
• Have a working knowledge of related AIA documents.

Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, or Residential Construction Technology and Management, or Associates in Building Construction Technology.
• Must have excellent communication skills and experience in preparation of AIA Field Reports, client management and project coordination.
• LEED certification is a plus.

Position Benefits
• 2 weeks vacation (1 week after 90 days, 2nd week after 6 months) with 1 additional day per year up to 3 weeks, 1 additional week after 10 years or employment
• 6 -1/2 paid holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, One-half Day Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
