About Us

Mercy House of Chambersburg provides comfort-based compassionate care for guests at the end of life.

Mercy House is designed for and focused on comfort care at the end of life. Individualized round-the-clock care is provided in the homelike setting by a dedicated team of licensed and certified professionals. As an independent nonprofit, Mercy House partners with area hospice agencies to provide comprehensive care. Mercy House provides a haven of compassionate care when a lack of caregivers and resources prevent a peaceful death at home, and is proud to be part of the movement to improve the end-of-life experience for individuals and families in our community.

Our mission is to offer comfort-based personal, emotional, and spiritual care to guests; to provide support for families and friends of guests; and to coordinate community education, engagement, and involvement.

Mercy House provides quality care by focusing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of dying individuals through the end-of-life process and is recognized in the region for this much-needed service, as well as for meaningful follow-up suport for loved ones, community outreach, and strong volunteer engagement.
