Shalom Christian Academy is seeking a caring, organized, and Christ-centered Long-Term Substitute Teacher to serve in our 3rd grade classroom for approximately 12 weeks. This position offers the opportunity to lead a classroom while supporting students academically, socially, and spiritually during the regular teacher's leave.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering daily lessons aligned with the classroom curriculum
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Assessing student learning and maintaining accurate records
- Keeping the classroom teacher informed of classroom activities, student progress, and important events to ensure a smooth transition upon their return
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (required)
- Previous elementary teaching experience (preferred)
